So this started as a series of therapy sketches... and very quickly snowballed into a fixation on creating a compendium of Dungeon Crawler Carl characters. It will likely take a bit for me to begin to translate all the characters into different merch pieces, polish and update all these designs etc, but, here's who I have begun to work on so far:
With each drawing I get a bit more confident, have more ideas about how I should improve on the previous ones, and even more ideas about bigger scenes and groups that can be put together. How to maybe be more organized instead if haphazardly throwing anyone together because I am excited. Letting go of my fears about intimidating creatures or humanoids to draw. Diving into learning and growing as much as possible.
The feedback and encouragement from so many crawlers online via facebook and instagram has been so helpful and welcomed, and I hope you continue to pour over these with a discerning eye and share more suggestions and requests for things you'd like to see! I am so grateful for the community involvement and support.
Regardless, this has been an incredibly grounding, healing, and educational experience! I did this for me, because I needed something to help ground and focus me during an extremely challenging moment in my life. But I hope perhaps this can spark joy for a few other crawlers out there, too. <3 Please tell me who you'd like to see!
